Abbey College Manchester celebrate brilliant A Level results

It was another year of brilliant results for the Abbey College Manchester community as 57% of pupils earned the highest grades of A*-B.

Abbey College Manchester is home to a fast-growing and international community of students aged 15-19, the college specialises in the transition from school to university and focuses on small classes and highly personalised learning.

Overall, the 2023 cohort secured an exceptional pass rate of 97.5%, as well as a majority of results falling between A* and B, almost a quarter (24%) of students achieved A* and A grades. All-around this not only marked an improvement on the pre-pandemic results of 2019, but also exceeded the national average.

Ada is one of the college’s many success stories, earning a marvellous trio of A*s in Maths, Further Maths and Physics. She’s now secured a place to study Linguistics at Lancaster University.

Chris Randell, Principal of Abbey College Manchester, commended students for the ‘perseverance’ and ‘diligence’ they’ve displayed to achieve such spectacular results:

“It is always a pleasure to celebrate the achievements of our students. We are very proud of them for these impressive results; the diligence and perseverance from our students is evident, as is the passion and commitment from our dedicated staff members to support and progress each individual.

“As a place where students and teachers work to achieve academic success together, we take great pride in helping our students to reach their full potential, enabling them to move on and join some of the UK’s very best universities to study a wide range of programmes. I am confident that we will hear of even more successes as our students progress on their educational journey, and wish them the best of luck for the future.”
